Allen Leavell Wedding – Christmas Eve…

A Christmas Eve wedding was a first for me. Working with Steve Kraus, Photographic Memories of Galveston, we photographed the wedding of former Houston Rockets player Alan Leavell.

I am a sucker for setup shots…..

Guys getting ready

The Groomsmen and sons…

Peeking through the curtains that surrounded the room, I was able to get the groom placing the ring on the brides finger.

It’s always fun to catch a guy…holding the bouquet.

I am loving the new camera – it allows much better low light photos – and this setup was beautiful.

A Rockets Cake of course..

Now i’m not a sports fan…but i’ve been told by my husband, Moses Malone is in this photo…can you guess which one?

Alan’s beautiful bride!

The beautiful wedding cake

Sucker for roses!!!

i had to look this one up – there are several meanings behind jumping over a broom – but this one was the one i liked the best.

The “Jumping the Broom” is a ceremony in which the bride and groom, either at the ceremony or at the reception, signify their entrance into a new life and their creation of a new family by symbolically “sweeping away” their former single lives, former problems and concerns, and jumping over the broom to enter upon a new adventure as wife and husband.
